Today, I began going through the free materials in Coursera's "Java for Android" MOOC. I got to the end of Module 1. The first module simply gives an overview of the course. Although I have plenty of prior experience with Java, there still seems to be some material in this MOOC that I have not learned before so I'm looking forward to learning it.
One fun fact that I learned today is that the person who created Java is James Gosling. I find this fact particularly fun because it helped me come up with a witty title for this blog post. (If you did not understand the reference, Ryan Gosling is a famous American actor thus making James Gosling, "the lesser known Gosling." To the best of my knowledge, they are not actually related.)
