I came across an article in Information Week that discussed CIO hiring plans for the first half of 2016. In this article, I came across an infographic that said that Cincinnati had the highest percentage of CIOs who planned to increase their IT staffing.
Before you pack your bags and move to Ohio, it's just one statistic and I'd imagine that CIOs are a small portion of the population and the results were derived from a survey and I'd imagine different cities have vastly different numbers of CIOs so I would take the results with a grain of salt, but it is still interesting. I just thought I'd share it though because I have lived right outside of Cincinnati for more than two years now.
